Smashing it

Nice, concise video! I especially appreciated the advice at the end. I've had the Hero 9 for years and never used it. I started taking it on rides and trail runs recently and quickly found out that my inexperience in telling a coherent story and lack of familiarity with the settings are holding me back, not the quality of the camera. I enjoyed many of your videos, but loved the one from Romania. ;)

Audio on the DJI sounds less compressed and more natural, although the GoPro seems to have better focus (if that makes sense). GoPro seems like it doesn't do as much color grading, which is probably to get a better raw image to color grade later (although it does seem a bit warmer in the really bright shots), but the DJI absolutely smashes it in low light and in the shots with the sun behind you. Both have good dynamic range and contrast, but the DJI seems to do color better overall. Just need to compare them to an iPhone 15 now lol.

I'd personally try to ride with a full face helmet on instead of that mouth piece. You can get quite light ones now.

Still on with gopro the 12 with log footage does leave more room for color grading

Great video Josh and another awesome looking route! Who put the G.G. routes together? Must be some local knowledge involved as some sections are well off the beaten track & far from obvious if you don't know the area. Do you have much input or are your recce rides mainly to check everything is clear and good to go just before the event?
